Madras, OR (AHN) - A Central Oregon couple has died in an apparent murder-suicide leaving their baby inside their locked bedroom and three older children on their own for two days until a neighbor learned what happened.

Neighbor Andrew Smith told KTVZ-TV of Bend he went to check the victims' home when three kids knocked on his door on Saturday and told him their parents won't wake up. Smith smelled fouled odor inside the house and then saw the lifeless Hannah Crowe, 26, and Julian Wallulatum, 21, with their crying 9-month-old daughter beside them after kicking the door of their locked bedroom open.

Police said the couple bore fatal gunshot wounds and may have been dead since Thursday because they were still wearing the same clothes on New Year's Eve.

The Department of Human Services took custody of the baby while the older children were taken to relatives.
