Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - After months of rumors, English actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have both been confirmed to take on the roles of Thomson and Thompson in the upcoming film "Tintin." The CG motion-capture film, based on the comic book series "The Adventures of Tintin" created by Herge, still doesn't have the title character cast onboard after Thomas Sangster dropped out due to scheduling conflicts, although Captain Haddock will be played by Andy Serkis. The story will focus on Tintin as he buys a Spanish galleon miniature for Haddock. It gets damaged and reveals a hidden parchment, which could lead to a hidden pirate treasure that belongs to one of Haddock's ancestors. Steven Spielberg will be directing and producing the $135 million-budget pic. Peter Jackson will also produce, as per aintitcool.com.
