Four Different Players Score As Rangers Blank Penguins

New York, NY (AHN) - Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist won his 20th game, in New York's 4-0 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins to put New York back into first place in the Atlantic Division.

Lundqvist, 26, stopped 27 shots for his first shutout this season and 18th of his career. He is now 20-11-3 on the year with a 2.59 GAA.

The Penguins have lost five straight, their longest skid in regulation since losing 10 straight in January 2006.

With his 27-save effort against the slumping Penguins, Lundqvist became the fifth NHL goalie to start with four 20-win seasons.

New York struck first Monday night on a power-play goal from Nigel Dawes in the first period. That ended up the winning goal.

Paul Mara, Chris Drury and Scott Gomez also scored for the Rangers, who are one point ahead of Philadelphia in the Atlantic.

For Pittsburgh, the defending Eastern Conference champions dropped five straight, six of seven, and seven of nine to fall below the playoff cutoff.

Sidney Crosby was held without a point for the third straight game

Lundqvist earned his ninth win over Pittsburgh in 13 games.

He stopped all 12 shots in the Penguins' power-play filled first period and eight more in the second.
