Jay-Z Signs On To Perform "In Concert On The Eve Of Change"

Washington, D.C. (CNS) - Jay-Z has signed on to perform in a special concert the night before President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration.

Jay-Z has billed it "In Concert on the Eve of Change." The performance will take place at the 1,847-seat Warner Theater on January 19 and will feature Jay performing with a full band. Tickets for the performance go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Obama has lots of fans and supporters in the hip hop community, and Jay-Z will not be the only one performing. Young Jeezy, T.I. and Russell Simmons are a few artists who will perform at Simmons' "Hip Hop Summit Action Networks Ball," which will be inside the Hartman Center for the Arts, also in Washington, D.C. on January 19.

As previously reported by Celebrity News Service, rappers Ludacris and Big Boi will host the Urban Ball on January 20, along with Lil' Jon and T-Pain, Cedric the Entertainer, Bobby Valentino, David Banner and singers Monica and Fantasia Barrino. It will be hosted inside the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

Also in the same hotel on January 20 is the Legends Ball, which will feature Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan, Reggie Miller, The Temptations, Yolanda Adams, Harvey Melvin and Blue Notes and George Clinton
