Kris Alingod - AHN Contributor Washington, D.C. (AHN) - President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden will hold a private meeting with the justices of the Supreme Court on Wednesday, marking the third time in history that the incoming leaders of an administration have visited the court. Obama and Biden will meet with Chief Justice John Roberts and the eight associate justices in the west conference room in the afternoon. The visit will be made at the invitation of Roberts, according to a press release issued by the court's public information officer, Kathleen Arberg. It will be the third such visit by a president-elect and vice-president-elect. Former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore had called on the court on Dec. 8, 1992, following a visit by Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush on Nov. 19, 1980.
