David Goodhue - AHN Reporter Miami, FL (AHN) - The amount of Chinese Internet users has soared to 298 million, a 42-percent increase from the year before, according to the Chinese Internet Network Information Center. The study also showed a marked increase in the amount of Chinese accessing the Internet using mobile devices. Internet use in the countryside is increasing at a faster rate than in the city - 61 percent compared to 36 percent, respectively, the CINC report found. In all, the amount of Chinese Internet users is equal to the entire population of the United States, according to the report. The Web tracking group eMarketer, said the U.S. Internet population is about 200 million.
