Sacramento, CA (AHN) - Dwight Howard dominated the inside, pouring in 25 points and hauling in 15 boards to lead the Orlando Magic to a 139-107 stomping of the Sacramento Kings Tuesday.
Jameer Nelson added 23 points, going 5-of-5 from the three-point area to lead nine players, who connected from long range for the Magic.
The Magic set an NBA record with 23 three-pointers made in a game.
Orlando hit 23-of-37 (45.1 percent) from beyond the arc, finishing with a whooping 60.5 shooting clip (49-of-81) from the field.
With 2:20 to play, Jeremy Richardson drained one from downtown, helping the Magic shatter the previous mark of 21 set by Toronto against Philadelphia on March 13, 2005.
The Kings, who have dropped six of seven, were led by Kevin Martin's game-best 30 points.
In the third quarter, Martin scored the first 10 Sacramento points, but the Orlando offensive was relentless, outscoring the Kings 32-29 in the frame to take a 107-85 lead into the fourth stanza.
Spencer Hawes, who finished with 14 for the Kings, pulled Sacramento within 114-87 following two free throws with 10:04 left in the game.
But the Magic pressed on, never letting their lead drop below 20 points the rest of the way.
Rashard Lewis added 19 points and Hedo Turkoglu finished with 17 points and eight assists for Orlando, which notched its fifth straight victory.
