Authorities caught Joshua Steven Durcho, 25, Tuesday when he figured in a car accident in Hamilton County, a Texas Department of Public Safety communications officer in Waco told Fox News. He will be returned to Oklahoma on Thursday to face multiple murder charges for the deaths of Summer Garas, 25, Kirsten Rust, 7; Autumn Rust, 6; and Evynn Garas, 3; and son, Teagin Rust, 4.
All victims were strangled to death in Garas' apartment in the Oklahoma City suburb of El Reno.
Oklahoma investigators have yet to establish the motive for the killings.
Susan Rust, the mother of Garas, said her daughter broke up with Durcho on Sunday. In an interview with the Associated Press, she wished him a painful death as punishment for his crime.
Garas was a student at nearby Redlands Community College taking up a course to become a legal assistant before she was killed. She divorced from her husband on Dec. 10.
