Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Britney Spears has been asked to rerecord her upcoming single "If You Seek Amy" after radio stations across the U.S. threatened to ban it for its controversial lyrics. The track, which is the third single from her current album Circus has Spears singing the phrase "If you seek Amy," which actually sounds like she is saying "F**k me."

The track features the chorus "All of the boys and all of the girls are beggin' to, if you seek Amy" - with the last four words sounding like "F**k me" when sung quickly. However, Spears has apparently renamed her new single "If You Seek Amy" to "If You See Amy" following a ban over its controversial lyrics, reports U.K. newspaper The Sun.

In 2005, Black Eyed Peas single "Don't Phunk With My Heart" too faced the same problem after it was misinterpreted for its lyrics. Spears releases the new single off Circus in the U.K. on February 16.
