Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - "Girls Gone Wild" boss Joe Francis has been arrested Monday for showing up at a court hearing five hours late.

The court was supposed to hear his lawyer's motion to step down as Francis' counsel on his tax evasion case.

However, after Francis, 35, failed to show up and could not be reached by phone 30 minutes after the hearing's start at 8:30 a.m., a bench warrant was issued for him. He later showed up at 1:30 p.m., with his lawyer Melissa A. Weinberger, who told the court he was suffering from the flu.

Weinberger said that she would try to secure Francis' release as soon as he was processed by federal marshals.

The trial for the case is scheduled on March 31.
