Carnie Wilson To Host New Edition Of "The Newlywed Game"

Hollywood, CA (CNS) - Wilson Phillips singer Carnie Wilson has been tapped to host the new edition of "The Newlywed Game." The new Game Show Network version will again feature newlywed couples who are quizzed to find out how well they actually know eachother.

Wilson, who will reportedly be onboard for 40 episodes, talked about her new role saying, "I've always loved game show. My personality and energy is perfect for something like this. First of all, I'm married, and I love watching 'The Newlywed Game' when I was younger. I watched it all the time. I always hoped the couples would start fighting."

The "Newlywed Game" will premiere on April 6 and will see new features such as a bonus round with couples that appeared on the original broadcast of the show and a completely redone set.
