Phoenix, AZ (CNS) - Following his alleged felony battery, R&B star Chris Brown has pulled out of his scheduled appearance Sunday at the 2009 NBA All-Star Game to be held in Phoenix. "Chris Brown has withdrawn from NBA All-Star events," a spokesperson for the event confirmed to E! News.

The 19-year-old singer, arrested on Sunday night for allegedly assaulting girlfriend Rihanna, was originally planned to introduce the All-Star basketball players on Sunday, February 15 along with Phoenix Suns star Shaquille O'Neal and "America's Best Dance Crew" winner Jabbawockeez.

Prior to his appearance at the event, Brown was supposed to play in the annual All-Star Celebrity Game on February 13. Previously, Brown and Rihanna both scrapped their performances at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on February 8.

Rihanna is also expected to pull out of her Asian live concerts, which will be conducted in Indonesia on February 12 and Malaysia on the next day.

In other related news, gum purveyor Wrigley announced it was pulling all running advertisements for Doublemint Gum featuring the "Kiss Kiss" singer. Wrigley said in a statement it was "concerned by the serious allegations" made against Brown, who was booked by police on suspicion of making a felony criminal threat.
