Mapleshade, NJ (CNS) - R & B singer Randy Cain, one of the founding members of the soul group the Delfonics, passed away on Thursday, April 9 at the age of 63.

Cain died at his home in Maple Shade, New Jersey of causes currently unknown. He founded the Delfonics in the 1960s along with brothers William and Wilbert Hart.

The Delfonics had chart topping hits such as "La La Means I Love You" and "Didn't I Blow Your Mind This Time," which earned the group an R&B Grammy Award in 1970.

Cain left the Delfonics in 1971 to be replaced by Major Harris, but the group reformed in the 1980s. Wilbert Hart commented to the Philadelphia Daily News about Cain's passing saying, "I'm gonna miss him. We grew up together since 1968."
