Manchester, England (AHN) - Carlos Tevez, critical of the club in the media over the lack of a permanent contract as his two-year loan deal expires, scored twice Sunday in a United's 2-0 win over Manchester City, showing the club what they are likely to miss next season.

The Argentine forward, who has spent time on the bench, scored two first half goals, sending a message to Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

According to the 25-year-old Tevez, he feels marginalized at Old Trafford, claiming the club has made no attempt to sign him long term.

Tevez also adds that despite having a good season, he has not been considered a first-team regular by Ferguson.

Last month, a frustrated Tevez started giving hints of a possible departure from Old Trafford.

But Tevez stressed that he still wants to stay in England, and if things don't work out with the Red Devils, he said he has no qualms in joining one of United's big rivals.

Ferguson has yet to address officially the issue regarding Tevez's claim.

The win gave United a three-point lead over Liverpool at the top of the Premiere League.

The Red Devils only need four points from their three remaining fixtures to retain the title.
