Carson, CA (AHN) - D.C. United, outplayed in the first two-thirds of the match, battled back from a 2-0 deficit to score two goals in the final 15 minutes to earn a 2-2 draw with league-leading Chivas USA Saturday at The Home Depot Center.

United came to life in the 77th minute when Luciano Emilio registered his fifth of the season on a re-direction of a Santino Quaranta stab.

Quaranta added the tying goal five minutes from time, helping D.C. United (3-1-6) extend its unbeaten run in their last seven matches in all competitions.

Maykel Galindo, in his first start since May 11, 2008, opened the scoring for Chivas USA (7-1-2) in the 25th minute.

The Goats striker, who beat D.C. United's offside trap, took a pass from Atiba Harris and deked past United keeper Louis Crayton to finish into an empty net.

Just before halftime, Eduardo Lillingston gave the home side a 2-0 advantage after heading home a cross from Harris in the 43rd minute for his third goal of the season.

Chivas USA, who registered their third non-victory of the season, travels to Kansas City next Saturday in its next MLS fixture before returning home May 28 against Chicago.

D.C. United will host Real Salt Lake next Saturday.
