Milla Jovovich Joins De Niro, Norton In "Stone

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - "Resident Evil" star Milla Jovovich is joining Edward Norton and Robert De Niro in the upcoming psychological thriller "Stone" for Mimran Schur Pictures.

The model-turned-actress will play the wife of a convicted arsonist (Norton). Desperate for a parole, Norton has her engage in an affair with his parole officer (De Niro), deploying him in a psychological game.

Angus Maclachlan wrote the scrip, while Norton's "The Painted Veil" director John Curran will helm, report the trades.

Newly-formed Mimran Schur Pictures is producing the project. Nu Image started its pre-selling in Cannes.

Production will kick off in Michigan on Monday.

Jovovich will be seen next alongside Timothy Olyphant, Steve Zahn, Kiele Sanchez and Marley Shelton in the "A Perfect Getaway" in August.
