Las Vegas, NV (AHN) - An Allegiant Air jetliner en route from Los Angeles, California to Grand Junction, Colorado made an emergency landing in a Las Vegas airport because of smoke in its cockpit.

All 126 passengers aboard Flight 394 were safe when the plane landed smoothly at the McCarran International Airport after the pilot reported the smoke at 2:22 p.m.

The airline transferred its passengers to another aircraft, Allegiant spokeswoman Tyri Squyres said, according to Lasvegassun.com.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the smoke.
