Former Memphis forward Robert Dozier's initial SAT score was discounted by the company that scores the exam because Dozier scored 1,260, the highest possible score.

Once he retook the exam, Dozier scored 540 points lower.

With questions surrounded Dozier's scores, his hometown team Georgia Bulldogs denied him admission.

He then signed with Memphis and went to the 2008 NCAA Final Four.

According to espn.com a person claiming to be a faculty member at Dozier's high school in suburban Atlanta wrote an anonymous letter to the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse questioning his score on the admissions test.

Dozier's SAT situation has come up due a recent NCAA investigation into Memphis dealings under John Calapari.

Dozier's initial scores placed him in the 4th percentile nationally. His following scores dropped him into the 89th percentile.

It could be easy for one to ask how Memphis said yes after Georgia said no.
