British Girl Allergic To 21st Century

Kent, England (AHN) - A 10-year-old girl in England has to lead a severely restricted lifestyle because she is effectively allergic to the 21st century.
So far doctors have been unsuccessful in explaining why Molly Harrad has such a severe and rare condition, but they have told her parents she would not have suffered from any of her allergies if she'd been born 100 years ago, England's Daily Telegraph reported.
Molly's allergies prevent her from wearing normal shoes, socks or clothing. She can't come into contact with carpet, and she eats a specially selected packaged lunch under supervision at school, just in case she encounters a food that triggers a reaction.
In order to suppress her extreme allergies, Molly wears special cotton gloves on her hands at all times, bathes in a special solution to coat her skin, and takes several pills each day, the Telegraph reported.
Molly told The Sun she had to wear plastic bags over her special socks on the way to school the other day when it was raining, because her allergies prevent her from wearing almost any shoe.
"It was actually quite embarrassing," she told The Sun.
Among the food Molly can't eat are pasta, bread, oats, milk, eggs, tomatoes, chocolate and nuts. Household cleaning products, soap, shampoos, plastic or rubber surfaces, dust and even magnets can trigger a dangerous physical response. Molly is affected outdoors by her allergies to grass and pollen, the Telegraph reported.
Her mom told The Sun they first noticed signs of her condition when Molly was just a few days old. After being diagnosed with a milk allergy, doctors were stumped by the rashes and blisters that developed on her skin.
Since she was a newborn, Molly has been in and out of hospitals as doctors try in vain to treat or contain her condition.
