Jon & Kate Gosselin File For Divorce

Doylestown, PA (CNS) - Those who have been watching the media coverage of Jon & Kate Gosselin won't be surprised: the stars of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" are filing for divorce.

The Gosselins filed divorce papers on Monday afternoon. The documents were filed at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, People magazine reports.

The Gosselins found themselves in the center of a media frenzy, as the topic of daily entertainment shows and on the cover of nearly every tabloid after rumors of marital problems began. In May, Jon Gosselin was photographed leaving a bar late night with a 23-year-old female friend. The couple also reportedly spent their 10th wedding anniversary apart.

The season premiere of the fifth season of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" revealed tensions between the couple. A special airing of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" airs tonight on TLC where it is expected that the couple's decision to divorce will be announced.
