Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Joe Jackson appeared at the BET Awards show on Sunday night where the network and many artists payed tribute to his son Michael Jackson after Thursday's tragic passing. It was a surprise to many that Jackson would be in attendance of the awards show just three days later after his son's passing, but fans are angry over an interview Jackson gave to CNN on the red carpet.

"Remember, we just lost the biggest superstar in the world," Jackson said. When the reporter asked Jackson about how his wife Katherine was doing, Jackson replied that "she's fine." He also had a publicist read out a statement from the family. When asked about details about a previous statement of his in which he said he has "concerns" surrounding Michael's last moments, Jackson simply said, " I don't like what happened." When asked about Janet and the rest of the family, Jackson replied, "They're all doing fine."

Jackson was very short with his answers about Michael, understandably heavy conversation for a red carpet interview. But Joe Jackson did take the time to plug his new record label, Ranch Records, and introduced his co-owner who started talking about the next step being Blu-ray technology. Michael's fans are not happy.

"He is more concered with promoting his record label and Blu-ray technology," said Jamie, a young CNS reader and fan of Jackson. "This man was obviously more interested in his son as a cash cow than anything else. He's a horrible father and a horrible person."

"Notice how Joe says 'We just lost our greatest superstar.' Janet said she lost a family member," said Jennifer, a 22-year-old fan. "To plug a record label on a red carpet three days after his son passed, I'm insulted."

"Joe Jackson should be ashamed of himself," said 25-year-old reader Maria. "Maybe he needs to be reminded that his son died three days ago. Only three days ago and he is there tonight giving an interview and promoting his record label. He showed no respect for his son. What an embarrassment to the family. Shocking. Just shocking."
