Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - Another malicious and false death rumor has been debunked. George Clooney is the latest victim of bogus reports saying he died on Monday.

His publicist Stan Rosenfeld has been bombarded with concerned calls from the 48-year-old actor's friends who were shaken by the phony rumor. Media outlets also believed the lie and contacted the publicist, who informed TMZ that he is very much alive.

Clooney is the latest victim of death pranks that plagued Hollywood the last few weeks ever since the outbreak of actually celebrity deaths.

Jeff Goldblum was falsely said to have been killed in an on-set accident in New Zealand. His rep denied the reports, saying the "Jurassic Park" star is in Los Angeles and alive. Natalie Portman, Harrison Ford, and Britney Spears were all victims of the terrible prank these last few days.
