Universal Music Group Expands Southeast Asia Division

Hong Kong, China (CNS) - Universal Music Group recently announced its expansion of South East Asia's Digital and Business Development operations in a 10-country region.
The plans call for the appointment of four new regional Heads of Digital and Business Development.
Loo Yew Ming, former Director of Digital for UMSEA, will head the ASEAN region, based in Kuala Lumpur and travelling across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines.
Andrew Chan, former CEO of Golden Dynamic, will head Greater China, based in Beijing and travelling across Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan.
Ashish Joshi, previously the head of the General Manager of Hungama Mobile, will head Greater India, based in Mumbai and responsible for Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Finally, Jason Roh will head the Korea divison, based in Seoul. Jason was a dynamic digital executive for a subsidiary of Seoul's SK Telecom.
The four newly-appointed heads will report to Sandy Monteiro, VP of Digital, UMSEA.
In a statement, Monteiro said: "With our four new Digital Heads, we're excited about even further growth expected for new music services, about strategic partnerships, innovative antipiracy initiatives, and developing more commercial relationships with a variety of business partners across the region."
