Washington, D.C. (AHN) - A U.S. Airways flight bound for Los Angeles was forced to land in Albuquerque Tuesday night after a passenger stripped naked and refused to get dressed.

A 50-year-old man, Keith Anthony Wright, is being held by the FBI in New Mexico for interfering with a flight. He allegedly took off his clothes while seated at the back of the plane and refused to put them on despite repeated requests from the crew.

A Los Angeles police officer who was a passenger handcuffed him as the plane was diverted to Albuquerque.

Wright is suspected of having been drunk during the flight. He was reportedly approached by a flight service crew at the Charlotte airport.
