You're 16: Yankees Ink Young Dominican Catcher Sanchez, Two Others

New York, NY (AHN) - The New York Yankees reached a deal Thursday with young Dominican catcher Gary Sanchez and two other international players.

The 16-year-old Sanchez reportedly got a signing bonus worth around $3 million. According to the New York Post, the two camps had agreed on a deal since June 20.

The actual signing took place Thursday, the first day that MLB teams can be allowed to ink contracts with international players.

The Yankees also signed right-handed pitcher Chris Cabrera and shortstop Damian Arredondo.

The 16-year-old Cabrera reportedly earned $400,000 while Arredondo got $850,000 according to multiple media reports.
