San Diego, CA (AHN) - Geoff Blum homered and drove in four runs, five Houston players had two hits each and the Astros dominated the San Diego Padres again in a 7-2 beating Thursday at PETCO Park.

Blum singled in the first inning and delivered a three-run shot in the fifth, finishing 2-for-4 in the Astros' 10-hit series finale.

The Astros' first five hitters in the order registered a couple of hits apiece--Michael Bourn, Miguel Tejada, Lance Berkman, Carlos Lee and Blum.

Berkman walked twice and went 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Houston, which won 7-1 Wednesday night and took three of four games with the Padres.

Wandy Rodriguez picked up his second victory in three starts by going seven innings with one run and seven hits allowed. He walked two and struck out five to climb to 7-6 on the season.

San Diego's Kevin Correia surrendered six runs and eight hits in five innings, including three walks and three strikeouts.

The Padres tallied nine hits but left several runners in scoring position. Scott Hairston and Everth Cabrera drove in the two runs for the home team.

Houston won its third in the last five and will next travel to San Francisco starting Friday night. Felipe Paulino will oppose Ryan Sadowski in the opener.

The Padres will stay at home to play the Los Angeles Dodgers, who welcome the return of suspended slugger Manny Ramirez Friday night.

Chad Gaudin and Hiroki Kuroda are the opener's starting pitchers.
