Major League Baseball is raising awareness and financial support for Lou Gehrig's disease. Gehrig played for the Yankees and died with ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

He gave an emotional speech July 4, 1939.

Saturday every MLB team will replay his tearful speech.

Fans will also hear how MLB is trying to raise funds and awareness to once and for all cure ALS.

Gehrig spoke 277 words that live on today. He called himself the "Luckiest Man" as he was dying.

The New York Yankees put together a special video presentation in which Yankee players recite portions of Gehrig's speech.

The video opened with video of Gehrig, it transitioned to him starting his iconic speech and then players picked up one after another.

All of the families touched by ALS are hoping the speech one day leads to a cure.
