Former NFL Quarterback Steve McNair Shot, Killed In Nashville

Topics: NFL, SportsNashville, TN (AHN) - Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair was shot and killed in a downtown Nashville residence Saturday authorities said Saturday.

Reports indicate he suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
McNair, 36, was named MVP of the league in 2003 by one media outlet, and led the Tennessee Titans to the Super Bowl in 2000.
Police say they found the Alcorn State graduate and a woman shot to death in a residence in the Nashville area.
The woman's name has not yet been released.
Authorities are questioning nearby residents, but have no one in custody.
McNair spent nine of his 13 seasons with the Tennessee Titans, playing his first two years with the Oilers and final two with the Baltimore Ravens.
He passed for 27,141 yards, second-most in Tennessee Titans history, with five years of over 3,000 passing yards, including one with the Ravens.
