Philadelphia, PA (AHN) - Jamie Moyer pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing one run on five hits, to give the Philadelphia Phillies a 4-1 victory over the slumping New York Mets Saturday in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia jumped in front 3-0 after Jimmy Rollins sliced a two-run double to right field in the fourth stanza.

Fernando Nieve tried to help his own cause with a RBI single to left that scored Nick Evans in the fifth.

Philly replied with another answer to give Moyer a three-run lead on Shane Victorino's RBI single to center.

Alex Cora did his job to get on base for New York. Cora went 3-for-4; hitting second in the lineup.

Luis Castillo, David Wright, and Gary Sheffield all went 0-for-4 against the left-hander.

It was a bitter day at the rubber for Nieve (3-2). The starter allowed six walks in 5 2/3 innings of work.

The win gave Moyer (7-6) his 253th career victory and his third-straight win. Brad Lidge collected his 15th save of the season for the Phillies.
