D-Backs Rally Past Rockies, End Losing Skid

Topics: MLBDenver, CO (AHN) - Pinch-hitter Chris Young ripped a tie-breaking three-run double in the eighth inning as the Arizona Diamondbacks rallied past the Colorado Rockies 11-7 Saturday night at Coors Field.

Stephen Drew, who finished a single short of a cycle, capped the decisive six-run eighth inning with a two-run blast as the D-Backs snapped a three-game skid.
The Rockies came back in the home half by scoring three times.
A two-run single courtesy of pinch-hitter Seth Smith, and Dexter Fowler's run-scoring single pulled Colorado within 9 -7.
Rockies reliever Joel Peralta was saddled with the loss after the eighth-inning assault.
He was lifted by Randy Flores, who immediately yielded a two-run blast to Drew.
Felipe Lopez provided the Diamondbacks insurance runs in the ninth with a two-run single.
It was the sixth setback for the Rockies in 28 games.
