Clippers Sign No. 1 Draft Pick Griffin; To Play In Summer League Monday

Los Angeles, CA (AHN) - The Los Angeles Clippers signed forward Blake Griffin to his first professional basketball contract Friday.

No terms were disclosed, but the Oklahoma City product is expected to play summer league ball Monday in Las Vegas.

Griffin was a remarkable college player, notching National Player of the Year honors netting 22.7 points and grabbing 14.4 rebounds per contest in his senior year at Oklahoma.

Griffin was also selected the winner of the Wooden Award as college basketball's top player.
