Looking to provide a spark to their respective outfields, the New York Mets dealt for Jeff Francoeur of the Atlanta Braves, while Ryan Church is headed south in exchange.
Both players have struggled this season, with Church being in Mets manager Jerry Manuel's doghouse for most of the campaign.
Church, 30, was hitting .280, but has just two homers and 22 RBI.
Francoeur may have the bigger upside, as the 25-year-old is a former Gold Glove winner.
He is batting just .250 this season with 35 RBI.
