New York, NY (AHN) - A woman who witnessed a bank robbery in New York Tuesday Twittered about the hour-long experience, posting Tweets about the heist in progress.

While standing in line at an HSBC branch, Annemarie Dooling, who describes herself as a "social media junkie," saw an unarmed man pass a note to a teller, demanding money, the New York Daily News reported.

"My bank was just held up-with me in it," the 26-year-old posted to the micro-blogging site.

Dooling, who is a Web producer for Telepictures Productions, alternated between Tweeting about the robbery and about her BlackBerry's missing trackball.

Twitter users following her reports sent Dooling well wishes and "retweeted" her robbery messages, the Daily News reported.

Because of negative reaction to her tweets, Dooling locked her Twitter feed.
