Amy Poehler To Return To "Weekend Update" Desk

New York, NY (CNS) - Because heading the department of Parks and Recreation in Pawnee, Indiana only takes up so much time, Amy Poehler is going to be taking back her seat at the Weekend Update desk. Poehler is set to join co-host Seth Meyers for "Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursdays."

The weekly special, which began airing during the election, is set to return to Thursday nights beginning September 17th. Poehler is set to return behind the anchor desk for its premiere.

Poehler, a second-time Emmy nominee for her work on "Saturday Night Live," will headline the night of NBC's Thursday night premieres, including the premiere of the second season of her own "Parks & Recreation." She's also rumored to appear on the show's September 24th telecast.
