Miley Cyrus Earns Her Latest #1 On iTunes

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Miley Cyrus has something to celebrate. Her "Party in the U.S.A." just made the climb to the #1 spot in less than 24 hours, one of the fastest climbs to #1 in the chart's history. Cyrus, who performed her new single at the "Teen Choice Awards" Monday night, released the single to the digital outlet midnight Tuesday. "Party in the U.S.A." is the first single from her upcoming Wal-Mart exclusive EP, "The Time of Our Lives." The song also garnered some extra attention for some controversy stirred up by 16-year-old Miley performing with a pole.

Also having reason to party in the U.S.A. is Jay-Z, who Cyrus also name-drops in her single, with his newest hit, "Run This Town." Jay-Z's latest, from his upcoming "Blueprint 3" album, is at #2 this week. The song also features Kanye West and Rihanna. The Black Eyed Peas drop down to #3 this week with "I Gotta Feeling," the first time the single drops out of the #1 spot in weeks.

Newcomer Jay Sean is at #4 with his UK and now U.S. hit "Down," featuring Lil Wayne. Kings of Leon are at #5 this week with their hit "Use Somebody." Another new entry on the chart also features Cyrus. "Send It On," with Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, and Selena Gomez all on vocals, is at #6 this week. The single is part of Disney's Project Green which focuses on environmental awareness.

Shakira moves up to #7 this week with her latest, "She Wolf." It's also her first week in the top 10 with her new single. Taylor Swift, no stranger to the top 10, is at #8 with "You Belong With Me." Pitbull earns the #9 spot with his latest dancefloor stomper, "Hotel Room Service."

Sean Kingston, who also performed at the "Teen Choice Awards," is at #10 this week with his hit "Fire Burning."
