Nick Jonas To Address Juvenile Diabetes At National Press Club Luncheon

Topics: EntertainmentWashington, DC (CNS) - The youngest Jonas brother, Nick, is set to address a National Press Club luncheon on Monday to raise awareness for young people who have diabetes.

The 16-year-old singer/songwriter, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 13, will be discussing his personal fight against the disease.
Jonas, one-third of the Grammy Award-nominated pop rock band, has launched a national campaign to provide young people and their families with motivation and support to combat diabetes. He has been named an ambassador of the Bayer Diabetes Care.
In June, he testified before Congress in a bid to call for support of diabetes research funding. He also hosts the website, NicksSimpleWins.com, which aims to inspire young people with the disease to achieve small, everyday victories.
The luncheon is open o Press Club members and their guests. It will begin at 12L30 p.m. and his remarks will begin just after 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session. Free blood glucose and A1C testing by medical staff will be provided from 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is priced at $17 for NPC members, $28 for their guests.
