Boston, MA (AHN) - The Boston Celtics are looking forward for another run at the NBA championships this season with star forward Kevin Garnett reportedly making progress in his recovery from knee surgery.

In a Boston Globe report, president of basketball operations Danny Ainge indicated that Garnett, who sparked the Celtics' run to the 2008 NBA title, "looks good" as he does training and workout with the team.

The Celtics, however, are not taking any chances on their prized centerpiece, taking it slow and steady on Garnett's recovery.

Garnett, the 2004 NBA MVP, sustained a knee injury on February and returned after missing 14 games.

He was eventually shut down for the rest of the season permanently.

Despite the absence of the 12-time All-Star, the Celtics went on to advance to the Eastern Conference Semis this past season, only to be eliminated by the Orlando Magic.
