Lubbock, TX (AHN) - After being kept overnight for an apparent concussion, Texas Tech starting quarterback Taylor Potts was discharged Sunday from a local hospital.

According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Potts left the game after suffering a concussion in second quarter of the Red Raiders' 48-28 rout of New Mexico at Jones AT&T Stadium Saturday.

Potts was released from the Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, Sunday, the FanHouse.com reported.

It is still uncertain if Potts, who took over the starting job from Graham Harrell for the 2009 season, will be available for this week's clash vs. Kansas State.

Meanwhile, Tech's free safety Nathan Stone remains hospitalized after being admitted following Saturday's game, the FanHouse.com reported.

According to reports, the Red Raiders' reserve cornerback is likely dealing with a neck injury that he sustained while making a tackle in the third quarter.

Apart from Potts and Stone, starting center Shawn Byrnes and free safety Cody Davis also exited Saturday's game due to leg problems.
