Jessica Biel, Pete Wentz Join Dow Live Earth Run For Water

Topics: EntertainmentNew York, NY (CNS) - Live Earth has enlisted the help of celebrities Jessica Biel, Pete Wentz, Alexandra Couseau, Angelique Kidjo and Jenny Fletcher to implement the largest worldwide water initiative on record. The Dow Live Earth Run for Water will be aiming to combat the global water crisis.

The movement is focused on the actions individuals can take to effectively address the global issue. It will consist of a series of 6 km run/walks, which is the average distance many women and children walk everyday to secure water, talking place over the course of 24 hours in countries around the world.
Biel, Wentz, and the others will lend their names and time in support of the cause.
All donations raised by the initiative will be disseminated to fund sustainable and scalable water programs.
Cities participating in the run include Buenos Aires, Agentina; Cape Town, South Africa; Chicago, IL; Hong Kong, China; Bali, Indonesia' Mexico City, Mexico; Melbourne, Australia; Manchester, U.K.; New York, NY; Stockholm, Sweden' Singapore City, Singapore; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Los Angeles, CA among many others.
Those interested to participate can register through the Live Earth website. All participants will receive a free online ActiveTrainer plan to help them prepare for the event. Ten percent of the registration fees will go directly to the NGO selected for their country.
