London, England (AHN) - American Bridget Sloan garnered the all-around title at the World Gymnastics Championships Friday in London.

Sloan, a member of the silver medal-winning American gymnastics team at the 2008 Olympics, finished with 57.825 points.

Fellow American Rebecca Bross finished just 0.05 points behind in silver and Japan's Koko Tsurumi, took bronze at 57.175.

Bross was in position to win but fell in her  final routine, handing the crown to Sloan.

She has a chance for redemption in Saturday's asymmetric bars final and against Britain's Beth Tweddle in Sunday's floor final.
