Chavez Offers Support To Iran Over Deadly Suicide Attack

Caracas, Venezuela (AHN) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez announced that he and his government strongly condemned a suicide attack that occurred Sunday in Iran. The blast resulted in 40 people killed and 30 others injured.
Chavez calling the attack "despicable" also revealed he had every confidence that the Iranian government would find those responsible and punish them.
In a statement Chavez said, "Venezuela reaffirms the importance of the revolutionary brotherhood ties with the Islamic Republic and People of Iran ... in its historical struggle to reach its prosperity and peaceful development."
Iranian officials revealed the deadly blast occurred in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan close Iran's border with Pakistan. Of those killed were a number of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commanders.
Claiming responsibility for the blast is the Sunni rebel group Jundallah (God's soldiers).
