Motown Records To Release "Motown 50" DVD

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Motown Records is presenting television performances of their icons in a new DVD. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of their founding, "Motown 50 - The DVD" will feature 18 classic and rare TV show appearances of their greatest artists from 1965 through 1971.

Some of the DVD's highlights include the Marvelettes on "Teen Town" with the record's first Pop #1 hit "Please Mr. Postman," Smokey Robinson & the Miracles on "The Andy Williams Show" singing "The Tears of a Clown," The Supremes performing "Back in My Arms Again" on "The Mike Douglas Show," and Martha & the Vandellas singing "Dancing in the Street" on "The Ed Sullivan Show."

"Motown 50 - The DVD" will allow listeners to choose the audio: original broadcast, and, where available, original single mono mix, remastered stereo or 5.1 Surround.

It will also feature interviews with founder Berry Gordy, the Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knights and others, and bonus materials.

"Motown 50 - The DVD" will be released November 3.
