Matteson Tops 3-Way Playoff Tie At Frys.com Open, Wins Second PGA Title

Scottsdale, AZ (AHN) - After bogeying his last two holes in regulation Sunday, Troy Matteson bounced back and birdied the second playoff hole beating Jamie Lovemark and Rickie Fowler in the Frys.com Open at Grayhawk Golf Club.

Coming off a record-setting third-round Saturday with a second consecutive round of 61, Matteson, closed with a two-under 68 en route to his second PGA Tour title.

Matteson, 29, captured his first PGA title at the 2006 Frys.com Open in Las Vegas.

Lovemark and Fowler, who are both seeking PGA Tour cards, each recorded six-under 64.

Tied at fourth place at 16 under were Tim Clark (67) and Bill Lunde (66).

Following at 15 under were 2007 winner Mike Weir (61) and Bryce Molder (63).
