The 2008 Heisman Trophy winner indicated in the release Sunday that he intends to enter April's NFL Draft depending on his recovery.
The estimated rehabilitation time after the operations is four-six months.
Bradford, who led the nation in passing efficiency in each of the last two seasons, re-injured his shoulder in the second offensive series during a Texas encounter.
He initially sprained the AC joint in his throwing shoulder in OU's season-opening loss against BYU and did not return vs. the Cougars.
Five weeks later, Bradford returned to field action to steer the Sooners to a 33-7 rout of Baylor, but aggravated the shoulder the following week vs. Texas.
In limited action this year, Bradford connected on 39-of-69 passes for 562 yards with a pair of TD.
He currently owns 15 school marks at Oklahoma, including career passing marks of 8,403 yards and career touchdown passes of 88.
The NFL draft is slated for April 22.
