San Francisco, CA (AHN) - A northern California wildfire that has so far burned about 600 acres is about 20 percent contained, officials said Sunday.

Meanwhile, about 1,000 firefighters have been called in to battle the blaze in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Firefighters fear high winds could make the situation worse.

Emergency officials have evacuated about 85 residents from the area. About 160 homes and other buildings remain in the wildfire's path, according to the Chronicle.

Firefighters on Monday hope to battle the flames with aircraft and bulldozers.

The fire started at about 3 p.m. on Sunday near Maymers Flat Road, which is the same area that was impacted by a large fire last year.

As of Monday, one person has been reported injured due to the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
