Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Rock group Puddle of Mudd are releasing their fourth studio album, "Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate," this December. The set follows the phenomenal success of their third LP, "Famous," in 2007.

"Volume 4" was recorded in Vancouver and Los Angeles. The group - singer/guitarist Wes Scantlin, bassist Douglas Ardito, drummer Ryan Yerdon, and guitarist Paul Phillips - enlisted Brian Howes and John Kurzweg to produce the album.

The first single off the new album, "Spaceship," will be available on October 27 on Amazon.con and iTunes.

Scantlin said, "It's easy and predictable to say I'm most proud of this record but I think it's more appropriate to say I'm most proud of what we've accomplished as a band to this point."

"Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate" will be released on December 8.
