Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Music stars like John Mayer and New Kids on the Block have taken to cruise ships to connect with their fans in a big way. But when "cruise ship singers" once had a D-List connotation, the stars keep hitting the sea. The latest? A-list superstar Rihanna.

The "Umbrella" singer, who recently released her new single "Russian Roulette," will perform aboard Royal Caribbean's newest and largest ship, Oasis of the Seas. The brand new boat is actually the world's largest cruise ship.

Rihanna will be the first ever perform to take the stage at the AquaTheater, an outdoor amphitheater located on deck, which is a pool by day, and a concert venue by night. Rihanna will perform on November 19th, during a preview voyage for the ship. It officially debuts in December.

Officially debuting November 24th is Rihanna's latest album, "Rated R." The follow-up to her international hit "Good Girl Gone Bad," "Rated R" features production from Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Chase & Status, and Ne-Yo, who produced first single "Russian Roulette." A second single, "The Wait Is Ova," is expected to be released soon.
