Nicknamed "Coach K," Krzyzewski has been the head coach at Duke since 1980.
He steered the Blue Devils to three NCAA Championships, 10 Final Fours and 11 ACC Championships over 28 seasons at Duke.
At the ACC's annual Operation Basketball meeting with media members Sunday, Krzyzewski indicated that his experience while working with USA Basketball bolstered his resolve to continue coaching.
It could also boost the chances of the Blue Devils, one of the preseason favorites.
Last season, Krzyzewski guided the Blue Devils to the Sweet 16 before succumbing to Villanova.
