Gerald Davison received the sentence from District Court Judge Stefany Miley for firing a semi-automatic pistol from a car toward four boys, who included Christopher Privett. Privett suffered a gunshot wound in his chest and died from his injury at the Summerlin Hospital on Feb. 18, 2008.
Davison had pleaded guilty in July to first-degree murder. His accomplice, Ezekiel Williams, 20, was sentenced in August to eight years in prison.
Davison apologized to the Privett family during the sentencing hearing. The victim's family also spoke on the stand saying they are still grieving the loss of Privett.
