Miami Edges Wake Forest On Late Harris-To-Benjamin Scoring Strike

Topics: College FootballWinston-Salem, NC (AHN) - It was a photo finish for the Miami offense, which pulled ahead of Wake Forest in the final moments of the game, elevating the 'Canes to a 28-27 win.

Quarterback Jacory Harris hit Travis Benjamin for a 13-yard score with 1:08 left to seal it.
Harris was overall hit-or-miss on the night, though was able to put together big plays when they mattered.
He went 22-for-43 for 330 yards and three touchdowns, though Miami struggled to get points until late.
Wideout Leonard Hankerson was his preferred target. Hankerson went for 97 yards on five catches, while Travis Benjamin, Aldarius Johnson and Tervaris Johnson each landed a touchdown.
The running game was led up by a split-carry team of Graig Cooper and Damien Berry, who combined for 13 attempts over 53 yards.
Berry picked up a rushing touchdown, scoring Miami's last points before the half.
Wake Forest quarterback Riley Skinner played a solid, tight game as well, completing 29-for-43 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns.
Miami hosts Virginia on November 7.
